Darri Lorenzen rozpoczyna swoją rezydencję w ramach projektu "A Place Where We Could Go" 

Artysta zajmuje się przede wszystkim tematami percepcji oraz doświadczeniem przestrzeni. Tworzy instalacje i interwencje architektoniczne oparte na zagadnieniach lokacji i dyslokacji, orientacji i jej braku. Często wymaga aktywnego uczestnictwa widzów, którzy stają się częścią kompozycji. Jego prace zawierają elementy dźwiękowe i nagrania video, stworzone w tej samej przestrzeni, w której następnie pojawia się obiekt, instalacja. Artysta korzysta z zastanych elementów sytuacji przestrzennej i tworzy z nich nowe konstrukcje. Nie dąży jednak do spektakularnych efektów, ani nie przeprowadza eksperymentów w celu wyjaśnienia, jak przestrzeń sama w sobie funkcjonuje. Przeciwnie, jego minimalne interwencje, gry i subtelne zmiany podkreślają, że przestrzeń jest procesem tworzonym poprzez szereg zmian i z małych fragmentów, które - poprzez pamięć i doświadczenie czasu - w końcu pojawiają się jako podstawowe elementy pojęcia.

Darri Lorenzen begins his artist residency in the framework of “A Place Where We could Go” project. 

His artistic practice deals with themes of perception and experience of space. He creates installations and architectural interventions based on the issues of location and dislocation, as well as orientation and its absence. Darri Lorenzen oftentimes requires the active participation of the audience, who become an important part of the composition. His works contain elements of sound and video recordings, they are made ​​in the same space in which they appear afterwards. The artist uses existing components of spatial elements and forms completely new designs which are based on them. However, the aim is not to create spectacular effects, nor to carry out experiments to explain how the space itself functions. On the contrary, his minimum intervention, games, and subtle changes highlight that space is a process. A kind of movement created by a series of changes and from small fragments, which - through memory and experience of time - emerge as the basic elements of the concept.
