• budowanie roli Islandii jako kraju realizującego międzynarodowe projekty artystyczne, wzmocnienie jej pozycji jako kulturowego przeznaczenia

The Icelandic Art Centers’ role is to introduce and support Icelandic visual arts abroad. The Center assists artists and art professionals in realizing projects through means of funding, networking and cooperation with public and private associations, organizations and enterprises.
The Icelandic Art Centers’ aims at building and strengthening the networks between the local and international visual art scene and activating the engagement of Icelandic visual artists and professionals in the international art dialogue.
In the coming years, among the Center’s goals are to:
• Facilitate the presentation of Icelandic artists abroad in international galleries, at exhibitions and events of various kinds.
• Facilitate participation of Icelandic art galleries in established art fairs.
• Initiate collaborations between Icelandic and international artists in Iceland and abroad.
• Create a residency program for international art professionals in Iceland.
• Extend the Centers’ visitor’s program in close collaboration with private and official institutions.
• Secure Iceland as a host country for international art projects and strengthen the position of Iceland as a cultural destination.

Kunsthall Grenland jest nowoczesną przestrzenią sztuki o charakterze międzynarodowym, organizującą i produkującą wystawy sztuki współczesnej dla szerokiej publiczności.
Jednym z najważniejszych zadań Kunsthall Grenland jest umożliwianie spotkań międzynarodowych twórców i grup artystycznych w regionie. Przez zmianę kuratorskich praktyk chce podjąć próbę odzwierciedlenia artystycznych, technologicznych i społecznych zmian w społeczeństwie.

Kunsthall Grenland is a newly formed art hall situated in Porsgrunn, Norway. Having status as a regional arena the art hall wants to engage a large audience through the production and exhibition of contemporary art.
One aim of Kunsthall Grenland is to facilitate meetings between international participants within the art field and artistic groups in the region. Through changing curatorial practices the art hall wants to mirror artistic, technological and social changes in the society it is to be a part of.

Listasafn Reykjavíkur szczyci się największą kolekcją dzieł sztuki na Islandii. Budynek muzeum oferuje najbardziej kompleksową i wielofunkcyjną przestrzeń wystawienniczą w kraju. Na 3000 metrów kwadratowych przestrzeni ekspozycyjnej pokazywana jest jedna trzecia wszystkich wystaw, które odbywają się na Islandii. Prezentowane są tutaj różnorodne projekty, począwszy od szczegółowych wystaw monograficznych z muzealnej kolekcji, a skończywszy na wystawach sztuki eksperymentalnej, instalacjach, sztuce młodego pokolenia oraz projektach ukazujących twórczość artystów międzynarodowych. Wystawy są planowane ku rozrywce oraz edukacji. Staramy się dopasować do wszechstronnych zainteresowań naszych gości. Planujemy realizacje odpowiadające zainteresowanym zarówno tematyką malarstwa „starych mistrzów“, jak i sztuką współczesną. Bierzemy pod uwagę różnorodne środki wyrazu artystycznego oraz rozliczną tematykę. Poza malarstwem pokazywana jest także rzeźba, projektowanie artystyczne oraz wystawy dotyczące architektury.

Founded in 1973, the Reykjavík Art Museum is the largest visual art institution in Iceland. Its mission to present contemporary art in its many manifestations is carried out through diverse programs at the museum’s three venues: Hafnarhus, Kjarvalsstadir, and Asmundarsafn.
The museum is situated at three different locations in the city: Kjarvalsstadir exhibition hall at Miklatún, inaugurated in 1973, where the main emphasis is on paintings and sculpture by well established artists; Hafnarhus, located in downtown Reykjavik, inaugurated in 2000, which serves as the museums institute of contemporary art, where new developments in art are explored; and the Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture Museum and Park at Sigtún, inaugurated in 1991, which is dedicated to the work of the sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson.
In its 3.000 sq. meters of exhibition space, RAM presents over 20 exhibitions annually, varying from large-scale, thematic exhibitions to installations by international artists and projects by emerging Icelandic artists. The exhibitions are intended for the general public and people with general interest in the visual arts.
